Meditation, Mindfulness and Resilience

Join us for an afternoon of Meditation, Mindfulness and Resilience in West Cork along the Wild Atlantic Way at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery on Friday 19th October from 1pm-4pm with Michelle A. Hardwick of Release…Peace. Refreshments included.

The guided meditation, mindfulness and resilience afternoon at the Celtic Ross Hotel will be tailored to best meet your needs as well as the needs of the group.  We’ll share tips and suggestions to help you stay balanced and maintain a sense of calm. The meditation experience will be recorded and the MP3 copy will be sent as an email link the following day. This recording when used regularly, will help build skills and resilience as you continue your practice at home/in the office or while traveling. More about the practice of meditation here

What is Mindfulness?

The research about Mindfulness is plentiful. Studies show that regularly practicing mindfulness contributes to personal health, happiness, resiliency and effectiveness. When we are ‘present’ and in this moment (i.e. Mindful), we can respond and deal with whatever is happening; instead of reacting or worrying about what has happened or might happen.

The practice of Mindfulness is cultivated and enhanced through Meditation – of which there are numerous forms. During meditation there is an opportunity to detach from everyday concerns, worries and stresses, to give ourselves time to stop, breathe, regroup and recharge. When we regularly meditate we feel calmer, more at ease, have peace of mind and find greater inner balance.

What is Resilience?

Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. So instead of letting challenges overcome us, when we are resilient we find a way to expand and grow from the blockage – we are able to ‘rise from the ashes’ victorious. Resilient people have a sense of optimism, are positive in demeanor, and are mindful of their emotions and can effectively manage them.
